About De Haan Group
A long-term, hands-on ownership model
De Haan Group acquires established UK businesses with the intention of owning and supporting them for the long term.
We invest our own capital and operate as a principal investor, not a broker or advisor. This means our interests are directly aligned with the long-term health of the businesses we acquire.
What we look for
We focus on well-run companies with strong operational foundations, recurring revenues, and experienced teams in place.
We are particularly interested in businesses where continuity matters for staff, customers, and suppliers and where there is an opportunity to provide stability, structure, and thoughtful growth rather than wholesale change.
How we work with owners and management
Our approach is collaborative and supportive.
Where existing management teams are in place, we seek to retain and empower them. We do not believe value is created through disruption for its own sake, and we avoid strategies that rely on short-term cost-cutting or aggressive restructuring.
Instead, we focus on preserving what already works, strengthening systems and processes, and supporting sustainable, measured growth over time.
We believe great businesses are built patiently.
We are not driven by fixed exit timelines, financial engineering, or rapid roll-ups. Our priority is to be a responsible owner who provides continuity, clarity, and long-term stewardship.
In summary
Our role is simple: to acquire good businesses, support the people who run them, and help build something durable over the long term.
If you are considering succession or a change of ownership and value continuity, we welcome a conversation.
